The term Faction in Shadow Cities refers to multiple sub-groups which are currently only differentiated by avatar icons. The current factions are as follows:
- Order of the Hooded One
- Cult of the Crimson Skull
- Mages of the Elemental Dragon
- Army of the Swan Phantom
- Light of the North Star
